GUELPH, ONTARIO – December 17, 2007 – Hammond Manufacturing Company Limited (“HMCL”) today announced that it has signed a definitive agreement with Universal Power Transformer Private Limited to sell its interest in Moloney Electric Inc. for approximately $7 million.

Moloney manufactures oil-filled distribution transformers.  The transaction is expected to close in early 2008.

Hammond Manufacturing Company Limited manufactures a broad range of products for the electronic and electrical products industry, including metallic and non-metallic enclosures, racks, small cases, outlet strips, surge suppressors and electronic transformers.
