Inside Sales Representative – Electrical Enclosures Apply Now

The successful candidate will be joining a fast-paced environment with an experienced team dedicated to providing Service Excellence. They will be responsible for providing a wide variety of inside sales/customer service functions with a focus on project quotations requiring a technical aptitude. In this team oriented environment, the successful candidate must be able to successfully coordinate several things on the go at any one time. The successful candidate will also be required to have a strong positive working relationship supporting outside sales representatives, distributors and end customers.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • To review technical documentation for electrical enclosures
  • To prepare quotations.
  • To process orders.
  • To follow up quotes (in conjunction with outside sales).
  • To work with Distribution Centre regarding shipments.
  • To respond effectively to customer enquiries (pricing and stock checks) and steer to others as necessary.
  • To process return authorizations.
  • To utilize CRM software to update key event history.
  • To support miscellaneous projects as they arise.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary business/technical degree or diploma in a relevant discipline.
  • 3+ years of technical customer service experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to use and work with Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated math skills sufficient for pricing – calculate gross margins, understand multipliers, discounts, etc.
  • Able to review technical drawings and specifications for relevant bid criteria
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Able to tactfully and diplomatically handle objections and customer complaints
Highly Preferred
  • Experience working with a distribution channel
  • Familiarity with electrical enclosures or other electrical products

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Required to lay-out the work, prepare joints and produce assemblies of commercially sound quality by electric arc welding (including shielded arc welding) in the flat horizontal and vertical position
  • Will work with hand tools such as hammers, saws, files, other shop tools, scales, calipers, gauges, squares, jigs and fixtures, etc. Electric welder, electrodes, clamps, portable electric tools such as drills, grinders, etc.
Qualifications and Skills 
  • Strong technical ability to understand and demonstrate shop math which includes adding numbers, converting decimals to fractions, determining dimensions, converting measurements, reading and understanding technical documents and working with fractions.
  • The ability to use and understand how to operate a PC to navigate the production ERP system and call upon drawings/BOM for each order.
  • Must have some knowledge of the welding technology including distortion control, equipment used, and metals commonly used
  • Must be familiar with all aspects of M.I.G.

The successful applicant will be required to set up and operate a variety of brake presses in the production of electrical enclosures.
