Pricing Updates
- Hammond sells through a network of channel partners, referred to as distributors. Click here to learn more.
- A minimum of thirty (30) days of notice will be provided prior to price changes.
- Prices to be Hammond current price in effect at time of acceptance of order.
- Any deviations from these prices must have prior approval by Hammond, and specially priced items must be identified with a quotation number.
- There is no billing minimum.
Prepaid Shipments
Prepaid freight is provided to distribution channel partners as a key part of the Hammond Advantage. The gross amount prior to taxation is applicable to prepaid freight, and prepaid freight is available for all standard merchandise, including server cabinets and ladder racks. The prepaid limit is set by the Hammond account manager and varies on the customer and region.
- Prepaid freight is shipped via carrier of Hammond’s choice. Any premium transportation method authorized by the customer will be sent on Collect basis.
- Prepaid shipments must be received by a loading dock that doesn't require a lift gate.
- Prepaid shipments to a single (1) location must be ordered on a single (1) order in a single (1) release.
- Customer will be responsible for any additional delivery charges on shipments such as lift gate, delivery notification request, limited access, construction site or residential delivery charges.
- Non-standard (Special) products cannot be combined with standard products for prepaid freight. Orders placed with both standard and special products will be separated and entered, with each portion evaluated based on these guidelines.
- Non-standard (special) product freight terms are per quotation.
- Shipments to the USA are FOB Buffalo, NY, USA.
- Shipments to Canada and International are FOB Guelph, ON, Canada.
Returned Merchandise
- Hammond must grant approval for any returned materials, which must be accompanied by an RMA number.
- The merchandise must be actively marketed standard items that are in resalable condition and retain their original packaging.
- The merchandise must have been purchased within two (2) years of the invoice date.
- Non-standard (Special) merchandise are built-to-order and are non-returnable.
- Return shipping expenses are the customers' responsibility.
- Restocking fees may be increased for returns of substantial quantities, contingent upon the item's potential for resale elsewhere.
- Returns caused by Hammond error are not subject to restocking charges
- If, after inspection by Hammond, it has been determined that:
- the merchandise is not in resalable condition,
- not a current design or
- is a custom design, no credit will be issued, and the customer will have the option of scrapping or receiving merchandise back, freight collect.
- If product needs to be repackaged for resale, an additional 10% charge will be assessed.
Restocking Fees
- Returns caused by Hammond error are not subject to restocking charges.
- General restocking charge
- A 20% restocking charge (minimum $25.00) applies to all returns.

- Stocking-distributor stock rotation (bi‑annual)
- Eligible: standard catalog items from stocking distributors.
- No restocking charge when an equal-dollar offsetting order is placed in conjunction with the return goods request.
- Limit: returns up to 10% of the distributor’s previous‑year purchases. Returns above this 10% allowance are subject to the 20% restocking charge.
- Large-quantity / high‑value returns
- Returns of more than fifty (50) identical units with an MSRP greater than $800 will incur a 50% restocking fee.
- Returns of more than fifty (50) identical units with an MSRP greater than $800 will incur a 50% restocking fee.
- Freight and offsetting-order terms
- The offsetting order must be placed at the time of the return goods request.
- The distributor is responsible for all return freight charges; normal distributor freight policy applies to the offsetting order.
- New-product stock-package exception
- No restocking charge for returns of items that were part of a Hammond‑recommended/new‑product distributor stock package, when returned within two (2) years of receipt.

Credits for Discontinued Merchandise
- Hammond reserves the right to issue credit, value determined by Hammond, in lieu of accepting the return of discontinued products.
Claims
- Claims for freight charges or shortages must be submitted within thirty (30) days of shipping date.
