Scope

This specification defines the requirements for a wall-mounted, outdoor-rated, swing-out rack enclosure designed to house 19-inch rack-mounted equipment in industrial, telecom, and edge computing environments.

General Requirements
  • Shall be a swing-out wall-mount cabinet designed to support 19-inch EIA-310-E compliant equipment.
  • Shall provide dual-access via a three-part design consisting of front door, middle section, and rear back pan.
  • Shall be suitable for indoor and outdoor installations requiring protection from environmental exposure including rain, sleet, and hose-directed water.
Construction
  • Shall be constructed of welded 14-gauge steel.
  • Shall include a double-hinge swing-out design to allow front and rear equipment access.
  • Shall allow cabinet orientation to be field-reversible (left or right swing).
  • Shall include removable door and center section with minimum 120-degree swing for maintenance access.
  • Shall include factory-installed external wall mounting feet.
  • Shall include two pairs of adjustable depth 19-inch mounting rails with threaded mounting holes.
Load Ratings
  • Shall support a rated load capacity of 350 lb (158 kg).
  • Shall be seismic rated to 200 lb (90.72 kg) dynamic load in accordance with IBC, CBC, NBC, and ASCE standards.
Environmental Protection
  • Shall be UL 508A listed Type 1, 3, 3R, and 4 enclosure.
  • Shall comply with NEMA Type 1, 3, 3R, and 4 requirements.
  • Shall meet IEC 60529 IP66 requirements for protection against dust and water ingress.
  • Shall include a sealed and gasketed design to protect against moisture, dirt, and contaminants.
Configuration Options
  • Shall be available in multiple configurations:
  • “N” version without climate control cutouts
  • “F” version with filtered ventilation and rain hood compatibility
  • “A” version with air conditioner cutout
Features
  • Shall include bonding studs on door, body, and back pan with dedicated grounding points.
  • Shall include a secure rear release latch that does not interfere with rack equipment.
  • Shall support optional accessories including climate control, ventilation, and mounting solutions.
  • Window door option shall utilize UV-resistant polycarbonate.
Finish
  • Shall be finished in a textured RAL 7035 light gray powder coat.
Compliance and Certifications
  • Shall meet PCI DSS requirements.
  • Shall be TAA compliant for government procurement.
  • Finish shall be GREENGUARD, TSCA, and RoHS compliant.
  • Shall be manufactured in the United States or Canada within an ISO 9001 certified facility.
