In December my team and I did a soft launch of our new cabinet design, referred to as the CL Series. CL stands for Co-Location and the cabinet was designed to be the Data Centre Managers preferred cabinet of choice.
I recently toured the Carat Networks’ Hamilton, Ontario facilities to see their new data centre. Carat Networks uses the Hammond Manufacturing co-location cabinet series exclusively in there Hamilton, Ontario Co-location facility. Carat Networks is a leading provider of dedicated server resources, virtual private servers and co-location cabinet facilities.
The CL Series is loaded with features! Not only is it available in multiple bay configurations, but it can be converted from one bay configuration to another without the investing in an entire cabinet assembly. This allows you to convert a single bay cabinet to a 2, 3 or 4-bay cabinet just by purchasing two additional part numbers.
With lots of competition in the co-location cabinet space, my team and I have aggressively priced our cabinets and included some special features that give us a competitive edge in the market. These features include a removable cover plate for installing PDUs, vertical cable management that can be moved to accommodate cables from above or below and the ability convert two cabinet rows into an air containment system.
The team at Carat Networks has found the CL Series’ design not only appealing but very functional and flexible as their customers needs change. In addition, Carat Networks has benefited from is the ability to customize their cabinet online using our innovative Q-Assembly tool available at www.q-assembly.com.
