  • If you are an existing CANASA Member attendance is only $10 (plus applicable taxes)
  • If you are in the IT/Security industry but are not a valid CANASA member the cost is $20 (plus applicable taxes)
  • Recent Grads, current or pre-registered students in security programs are FREE

Speakers:

Paula St. Aubin from the False Alarm Reduction Unit of the Hamilton Police Service will discuss false alarm calls and statistics for the Hamilton area.  


Brad Bender CAT(C), CSCS, CHSO, Safety, Education & Training Manager for Melloul Blamey Construction, will discuss safety in the workplace, and government regulations for alarm companies. Topics will include IE, WHIMS, fall arrest, scissor lift (ariel platform) and first aid.


Joe Bonomo, R.I.B. (Ont), of Tripemco Insurance, will discuss Errors and Omission Insurance. He will explain co-insurance, truck tools vs truck equipment, coverage for office computers, and depreciation. Joe reveals the pitfalls of having too little coverage and how to ensure there are no surprises when you have a claim.


Elliott Goldstein, B.A., J.D., Barrister & Solicitor, will discuss Legal implications of video with audio.


Joe Oreskovic, Regional Sales Manager for Eaton Power Quality Company will review the different levels of power protection and how a power disruption may affect various types of equipment.
