Shipping Inspection Process

PLEASE INSPECT SHIPMENT FOR DAMAGE BEFORE ACCEPTING PRODUCT

To ensure that any shipping damage is properly documented and resolved quickly, please follow these steps before signing for delivery:

1. Inspect Packaging

  • Check all packaging for visible damage such as holes, punctures, tears, or dents.
  • If the packaging shows signs of mishandling, make a note of it on the delivery receipt.

2. Inspect the Pallet

  • Confirm that the product is still securely seated on the pallet.
  • Look for any signs that the pallet or shrink wrap has shifted or has been damaged during transit.

3. Inspect the Tip-N-Tell Indicator

  • If your shipment includes a Tip-N-Tell indicator, check it for signs of tipping or dropping.
  • If there is no Tip-N-Tell device, write “No Tip-N-Tell present” on the delivery receipt.

4. Document Any Issues

  • Take clear photos of any visible damage to the packaging, pallet, or product.
  • Record the sales order number, product number, and date code from the exterior label (see image below)
  • Ensure that any noted damage is recorded on the delivery receipt before signing.

5. Report Damage Immediately

  • Email your findings to the appropriate contact based on your location:
  • Use subject: Carrier Damage
  • Ensure you provide:
    • Sales order number
    • Product number and date code from the exterior label
    • Pictures of any damage noted
